We will continue the
competition levels for ages 70 & over, 60 & over, 50 & over as well as 50 &
under. The divisions are called LEGENDS, SUPER SENIORS, SENIORS, and OPEN.
The Open will continue to be categorized into Masters, Players, Patrons and
Competitors.
INTRODUCING - MEGABALL!!!
WE will award 1st place to
our seven divisions. We will then award 2nd place to sufficient divisions
to bring the remaining teams to a multiple of four. The 2nd place teams
will be taken from the larger divisions.
Example: In 2010 we
hosted 74 teams. Let's assume we have the same number of teams this year.
We will award seven 1st place teams and will have 67 remaining teams. The
next lower number that is a multiple of 4 is 64. Therefore, we award 3
second place teams. The remaining 64 teams will be paired in groups of 4
with the lower handicap teams paired with the higher handicap teams regardless
of division. The total of all four teams scores will determine the 1st
place MEGABALL team. In the event of a tie we will use the
closest-to-the-pin of all four teams at #14 as the tie breaker. The
determination to award 2nd place in MEGABALL will be dependent on the number of
teams participating. This will likely pair you with people you don't know
and create some unsuspecting winners. |
